We’ll let you know when major works will be due, including replacement of kitchens, bathrooms and heating systems.
We have an ongoing programme to bring kitchens, bathrooms, boilers and electrical installations up to current standards. If your home is due for work under this programme, we’ll let you know well in advance.
Once the work is agreed and a date fixed, it is important that this is kept to so there’s no delay or disruption to other works on the estate which are also programmed in.
We give residents a choice of fittings and finishes when carrying out these works. With new kitchens, you’ll be given a choice of worktops, door finishes and flooring.
Some residents ask if they’re able to choose their own fittings and finishes. We’ll try to accommodate this where possible as long as:
- you agree with us what fittings you might want to supply well in advance
- the fittings and finishes are standard and so suitable for future residents (for example tiles have to be a standard size and depth)
- you purchase some spares so that we are able to match these in the future.
- the fittings and finishes are available before the contractors start work, so as not to cause any delays.
