Winter newsletter now out
Our winter newsletter for tenants is now
out and we hope you find it a useful read.
Our lead story, on pages one and two, looks at ways the expertise of our housing management team has been able in the past six months to help some of you struggling with living costs or declining health and mobility.
In most cases these were people who hadn’t come forward to ask for help because of pride or ‘not wanting to bother’ us.
We are here to help you and, as these cases show, we can.
Please do get in touch with the team if you too are finding the going tough.
Call 020 7704 2324.
If you have a top-up fuel meter then for a limited time we may be able to offer no-strings help thanks to a generous offer from a partner charity. Don’t delay: call us today on 020 7704 2324.
Also in the newsletter is advice on staying safe over the festive period.
You will find more useful information in your health and safety handbook, including what to do in an emergency.
If you haven’t already noted where in your home you can find your fuseboard and gas and water stopcocks, please make time to do it this week.
Our offices close for the festive season this year at 2.30pm on Tuesday 24 December. We reopen as usual at 9.30am on Thursday 2 January.
If you need an emergency repair during this time please contact the out-of-hours service run by our housing association partner Islington & Shoreditch HA on 0300 131 7300.
If temperatures plunge you should find plenty of salt in the grit bins we have installed near your homes. Some of you will have new bins.
If you’re fit and able, please make sensible use of them to keep paths, steps and walkways safe for everyone to use.
Finally, from all of us at Barnsbury Housing Association, we hope you have a pleasant, safe and happy festive season and that the new year brings good things to you all.
