Morland Mews is part of the Barnsbury Mews scheme, funded by the G.L.C in the 1970’s. Morland Mews was designed by BHA founder Ken Pring and were completed in 1975. The scheme, on the site of a former Council cleansing yard, won a ‘Good Design in Housing’ award.
BHA’s caretakers are based at 60 Morland Mews, which also has a community room used for resident events and meetings.
BHA’s Millennium project saw BHA create additional wheelchair-adapted homes by combining some studio flats with adjoining garages.
The top of Morland Mews, known as the “top site” is home to a children’s playground, park and football pitch, all open to residents of Barnsbury Housing Association.
