Eden Grove

Barnsbury Housing Association, in partnership with Islington and Shoreditch Housing Association, are developing new homes on a site at Eden Grove.

The site, which has been owned for many years, was formerly a school caretaker’s house but will soon be replaced with 4 new-build homes for social rent, including one which is an accessible ground floor property. All meet the GLA’s and Islington Council’s stringent standards for space and accessibility.

Complications that looked at times set to scupper the project included an inherited, misdrawn boundary map and and even issues with squatters.

The development is scheduled to be complete and handed over in November 2018 with the scheme set to be officially opened by Holloway Councillor and Executive Member for Housing and Development, Diarmaid Ward.
